ABOUT ME

My name is Bea and I am a Clinical Psychologist skilled in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to adults, young people and families. Alongside private practice, I also work as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in South London .I have extensive experience providing evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention to adults, young people, and families, particularly those who have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience providing consultation and support to professionals and carers experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue and secondary trauma.

I am skilled in providing a range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Mentalisation based therapy, and Narrative Exposure Therapy. Alongside individual therapeutic work, I work systemically with families and carers and hold Level 2 accreditation in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR). NVR is recommended where there are high levels of distress, relational conflict, or risk, and supports caregivers to develop confident, compassionate, and consistent responses to challenging behaviour. My research and clinical interests include the impact of trauma on young people, families and professionals; burnout and stress related illness; and therapeutic parenting. I supervise Clinical Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists and provide regular training in a range of areas including self-harm, therapeutic parenting, attachment and child development. I am able to offer regular therapy sessions and/or one-off consultations.

I have specialist expertise in working with neurodivergent adults and young people, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). My work is grounded in a compassionate, strengths-based approach, supporting individuals to better understand their experiences, develop emotional regulation skills, and address mental health difficulties alongside challenges related to education, relationships, and work.
